Dolly is here to advise the Cinniapolis community and answer any questions with grace and honesty. Here is today’s question:
Q: Dear Dolly, I have been secretly gambling my son’s college fund without his mother’s knowledge. In my defense, the boy is not college material. He has never received an A. Not in elementary school, junior high or high school. Not in gym class or music class, where regular breathing basically gets an A. He is the definition of a blockhead. Seriously, he has a square head. Anyhow, the problem isn’t the gambling, it’s the losing. I’m concerned if I gamble away his funds, my wife will leave me. So, I am humbly asking Dolly for advice, who do you think will win this afternoon’s preliminary tennis match between Yuta Wakobi and Fred Vernon?
Sincerely, Grateful Gambler
Dolly: Dear Grateful Gambler, open communication is the best medicine for any relationship. Your wife is aware of your son’s academic shortcomings considering his lifetime of under achievements. Have an open conversation with her and come clean about your gambling losses. If your son is as thick headed as you say, she should be understanding of your risky behavior. After all, it’s her bad genes that contribute to your son’s lack of intelligence too. I’m certainly no tennis expert but I like the 50/50 chance at a gambling win. I flipped a coin, it came up tails, so I’m going with Fred Vernon. Good Luck.
Sincerely, Dolly
