Oliver Roseman is a first time Mayoral candidate. Like Arn Murphy, this will be his first experience running for any elected office. Mr. Roseman is a former professional baseball player turned successful entrepreneur. He used his savings from his baseball playing days and opened his first Beaned Café in 1988. As of this writing, Beaned Café has 5 locations throughout Cinniapolis.
Known to “take one for the team”, Mr. Roseman holds the minor league record for most hit-by-pitches. His philosophy then and now is self-sacrifice for the greater good of his teammates and employees. His success at growing a coffee shop into a one-stop shop for full meals at multiple locations leads Cinniapolitans to believe he can get the job done as Mayor too. A local Cinniapolitan said, “He has been a success in all phases of his life. A record setter, a selfless teammate, and now a very successful businessman. I believe he is the self-made, humble, hard-working candidate this city needs.”
Mr. Roseman didn’t anticipate running for Mayor, but his employees convinced him to enter the campaign. “Well, this was something not on my radar. I’m very happy to run the cafes and provide rewarding opportunities for my colleagues,” he said. LaToya Panters, a current barista and aspiring fashion designer, said, “Mr. Roseman would be a fantastic mayor. He is very supportive, not only with his words but his actions. As a fashion design student, he allowed me to design the Beaned Café uniforms, which gained me entry into this past year’s Cinni Prep Uniform Design Showcase, which led to an unexpected victory and several opportunities for a full-time career in fashion design,” she said.
The special election voting takes place on February 28th. Due to the unprecedented circumstances, all votes must be submitted in person at each citizen’s local voting facility. There will be no vote-by-mail or early voting options.
