Opinion on Special Election

I’m writing here to express my gratitude to the brave City Council members that voted in favor of the February special election for Mayor. It takes a lot of guts to go against the Gondolas. They have run this city for the past several decades. Under the leadership of Mr. Van Gondola, the city prospered. He attracted businesses, workers, and championed moral behavior over everything else. Now, his entitled son has undone nearly all those achievements in under 10 years.

That’s why this Cinniapolitan is eager to hear the agendas from the challengers. I am voting out Mayor Gondola and his elite extreme liberal policies. He has overseen major failures in basic governing while crime has risen over the past several years. His shortcomings were amplified during the pandemic. He kowtowed to the loudest whiners in our city. He lacked a backbone to defeat the virus. Instead, he locked us in our homes and out of our businesses. Next, he wants to use the pandemic to expand his powers over Cinniapolis. My sincere hope is the next Mayor will put this man in jail, where he and his corrupt family belong.

Now, I understand the majority of Cinniapolitans can’t fathom not having a Gondola as their Mayor. This is a very loyal city. But, it’s time to move forward, past the Gondolas, into a new, innovative future. This city needs a new voice, particularly one that doesn’t vanish for 2 months after one of the worst attacks on our city in our lifetime.

I can’t speak for others, but I will anyways. My inner circle is not voting for Mayor Gondola. And, my inner circle’s inner circle is not voting for Mayor Gondola. Get ready, folks. There is going to be a new Mayor in town.
